APLN Completes Construction of Grand Mosque Al Azhar Podomoro Park

The property issuer PT Agung Podomoro Land Tbk (APLN) has completed the construction of the Grand Mosque Al Azhar Podomoro Park. The mosque was built on a residential land covering 130 hectares. "We have just completed the facility for Muslim worshipers, the Grand Mosque Al Azhar Podomoro Park," said Regional AVP Marketing APL, Tedi Guswana, in a written statement on Monday, April 29, 2024. Tedi continued, the establishment of the Grand Mosque Al Azhar Podomoro Park, which can accommodate more than 1,000 worshippers, affirms the existence and religious function of Agung Podomoro in Bandung, as well as serving as a support for Muslim worshipers in the area.

Meanwhile, in his inauguration speech, Noer Indradjaja, Vice President Director of APL, also expressed hope for the management of the Grand Mosque Al Azhar, which will be overseen by YPIA Al Azhar. "We hope that the Grand Mosque Al Azhar Podomoro Park will become an intellectual and social center for the community because of Al Azhar's years of experience in managing educational and religious facilities. Therefore, I am confident that the mosque's management and programs will be very creative and trustworthy," explained Noer Indradjaja.

Previously, Podomoro Park had collaborated with the Al Azhar Islamic Boarding School Foundation in the construction of schools within the area located next to the Grand Mosque Al Azhar. Currently, the Al Azhar Islamic School 64 Podomoro Bandung is under construction.
